Guidance To States Using 1115 Demonstrations Or 1915(B) Waivers For Managed Long Term Services And Supports Programs
In May 2013, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a report sharing what CMS has learned from states, stakeholders, and advocates in terms of best practices for establishing and implementing managed long term services and supports (MLTSS) programs and to clarify expectations of CMS from states using section 1115 demonstrations or 1915(b) waivers combined with another long term services and supports (LTSS) authority in an MLTSS program.
