Mississippi Senate Bill 2829 Of 2014 To Permit CMHCs To Provide Primary Care

On April 15, 2014, the Mississippi Legislature published Senate Bill 2829 to amend section 41-19-33, Mississippi code of 1972. The bill (as sent to the Governor) stipulates that each region designated or established under Section 41-19-31 shall establish a regional commission to be composed of members appointed by the boards of supervisors of the 11 various counties in the region. It is to be the duty of such 12 regional commission to administer mental health/intellectual disability programs certified and required by the State Board of Mental Health, and includes permission for community mental health centers . . .
