Limited Compliance with Medicare’s Home Health Face to Face Documentation Requirements (OEI-01-12-00390)
In this report released on April 8, 2014, the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the federal Department of Health and Human Services reported its findings of a review of Medicare home health provider organization compliance with a new requirement that a face-to-face home health certification assessment take place before the services could take place. The requirement went into effect on April 1, 2011.
