Connecticut Reaches Proposed Settlement To End Nursing Home Placements For Individuals With Mental Illness

On April 30, 2014, the State of Connecticut announced it had reached a proposed settlement agreement to a 2006 class action lawsuit challenging the state’s lack of  housing and community-based services for individuals with serious mental illness (SMI), which resulted in high use of nursing homes.
