On April 14, 2014, New York Medicaid announced it had received federal approval on a waiver that will allow the state to launch performance-based payment for community-based behavioral health services and integrated care delivery systems. The state will reinvest $8 billion in savings achieved through its Medicaid redesign into a Delivery System Reform Incentive Payments (DSRIP) program.
