HUD & HHS Award 13 States Grants For Permanent Housing And Services To Low-Income People With Disabilities

The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the federal Department of Health and Human Services announced that 13 states had been selected to receive nearly $98 million in grant funding to create 3,530 permanent housing units with supportive living services. The funding is through the HUD's new Section 811 Project Rental Assistance (PRA) demonstration program to create housing for adults with disabilities in extremely low income households, adults with disabilities living in institutions, and homeless individuals with disabilities.
