North Carolina Grants CONs To Liberty Healthcare To Shift 200 Beds To Two New Independent Living & Skilled Nursing Facilities

On February 25, 2014, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR), granted two conditional approvals for certificates of need (CONs) to subsidiaries of Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services to build two new independent living and skilled nursing facilities with 100 beds each in Forsyth County, and close a third facility in the same county with 200 beds. The new facilities are slated to open in the fall of 2016. After the new facilities open, an existing facility in the same region, Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Springwood will be closed . . .
