Emergency Department Visits For Traumatic Brain Injury Up 29% In 2010

Between 2006 and 2010, the number of emergency department visits for a traumatic brain injury (TBI) increased by 29% in the United States. During 2010, there were an estimated 2.5 million emergency department visits for TBI, up from the 1.7 million visits for TBI in 2006. During the period, total emergency department visits increased by 3.6%.
