Centerstone Launches Study Of Hepatitis C Screening Procedure For Adults With SMI
On May 1, 2014, Centerstone Research Institute (CRI) and Centerstone of Indiana announced a partnership with Indiana University to study a behaviorally-based hepatitis C screening procedure for adults with serious mental illness (SMI) receiving outpatient community mental health services. This project is part of Centerstone’s BE Well program, which integrates physical and mental health care for Indiana residents diagnosed with SMI. The researchers seek to validate the effectiveness of the hepatitis C risk screening and testing tool and the effectiveness of  the referral method in an outpatient community mental health care setting.
