CMS & ONC Propose Certification Rule Change For 2014 Meaningful Use Program
The federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology recently proposed a change to the Medicare or Medicaid Meaningful Use incentive programs to allow participating provider organizations to use the 2011 edition of certified electronic health record (EHR) technology to attest for Stage 1 or Stage 2 meaningful use in 2014.
