Memorandum of Understanding Between CMS & Texas Regarding Capitated Financial Alignment Model for Medicare-Medicaid Enrollees

On May 23, 2014, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the state of Texas signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to test a new model for providing Medicare-Medicaid enrollees with a more coordinated, person-centered care experience through the Financial Alignment Initiative. The Demonstration will begin no sooner than March 1, 2015 and continue until December 31, 2018.
