Tennessee Redesigning Medicaid I/DD LTSS Waiver With Focus On Independent Living
Tennessee is planning to redesign its Medicaid long-term services and supports (LTSS) for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to focus on independent living and employment as the first and preferred service option for the 1915(c) Home- and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waiver. For the new approach, Tennessee plans to implement Employment and Community First CHOICES, a managed LTSS waiver program focused on promoting and supporting integrated, competitive employment and independent living.
