Moss et al., v. Indiana Department of Child Services

The complaint, Moss et al., v. Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS), was filed on June 2, 2014. The plaintiffs seeks class action status to include more than 1,400 adoptive Indiana families who were  told that they were eligible for the state adoption subsidy, but were placed on a wait list due to lack of funding. In 2009, DCS assumed responsibility for making the payments from counties that had done so previously.
