In September 2013, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) released a fact sheet on the Patient-Centered Community Care (PCCC or PC3) initiative. PC3 is a Veterans Health Administration (VHA) nationwide program that offers health care contracts to provide eligible Veterans access to: 1) inpatient specialty care; 2) outpatient specialty care; 3) mental health care; 4) limited emergency care; and 5) limited newborn care for enrolled female Veterans following the birth of a child.
