Florida To Develop Minimum Standards For Memory Disorder Clinics

A new Florida law directs the state Department of Elder Affairs to develop minimum performance standards for memory disorder clinics, as well as performance goals beyond the minimum standards. The Department of Elder Affairs will also provide incentive-based funding for memory disorder clinics that increase the volume of clinical services, increase public outreach to low-income and minority populations, increase acceptance of Medicaid and commercial insurance, and increase the clinic’s institutional financial commitments.
