Department Of Veterans Affairs Access Audit System-Wide Review Of Access : Results Of Access Audit Conducted May 12, 2014, Through June 3, 2014
In this report released June 9, 2014, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced the results of a systemwide audit of VA health care facility appointment scheduling practices. The audit was launched by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) after the VA Office of the Inspector General found serious scheduling problems and long wait times at the Phoenix Health Care System (HCS). The audit was conducted in two phases. Phase One covered VA medical centers (VAMC) and large Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) serving at least 10,000 Veterans.
