Child well-being is highest in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Iowa; and lowest in Nevada, New Mexico, and Mississippi, according to a recent report released by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. For the purposes of the report, child well-being is defined as a combination of economic stability, school achievement, access to health care and overall health status, and family and community stability; the rankings are based on the most recent data available for indicators for each domain of child well-being.
