In this report released on July 28, 2014, the Medicare boards of trustees of the federal hospital insurance and federal supplementary medical insurance trust funds discussed Medicare spending trends and the stability of the federal trust funds. They said the trust fund that finances Medicare’s hospital insurance coverage will remain solvent until 2030, four years beyond the date projected in last year’s report.
