Illinois Submits 1115 Waiver To Consolidate Nine LTSS Waivers, Expand LTSS Options For Individuals With Behavioral Health Disorders
On June 4, 2014, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) submitted a Medicaid 1115 demonstration waiver proposal to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that includes a provision to consolidate its nine long-term home- and community-based services and supports (LTSS) waivers and expand LTSS options, especially for individuals with complex health and behavioral health needs.
