Florida DCF Child Fatality Trend Analysis January 1, 2007 Through June 30, 2013
This document, released in January 2014, is a baseline analysis for the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) of risk factors for children who died due to maltreatment or neglect between January 2007 and June 2013. The purpose of the analysis was to confirm general trends in child fatalities, provide an initial set of key risk factors, and lay the groundwork for advances in child welfare practice supported by predictive analytics.
