Louisiana To Move Children’s Medicaid Behavioral Health To Managed Care
On August 15, 2014 the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) announced that the next Behavioral Health Partnership Statewide Management Organization (SMO) contract will make some significant changes from the current partnership, including placing children’s funds into an at-risk managed care model. Both Medicaid and non-Medicaid adults and children utilize the Partnership SMO resources to receive mental health and addiction treatment services from private, public, and non-profit provider organizations.
