Louisiana Seeks Managed Behavioral Health Care Services

On August 15, 2014 the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) announced that the next Behavioral Health Partnership Statewide Management Organization (SMO) contract will move services for Medicaid-eligible children to managed care. This document is the request for proposals. proposals are due by October 8, 2014. Awards announcements are anticipated by October 30, 2014, and the new SMO contract will go live on March 1, 2015. The SMO is responsible for providing all core behavioral health services defined in the Medicaid State Plan, including inpatient and outpatient hospital services; lab services; diagnostic services . . .
