Los Angeles County Launches New Mental Health Urgent Care Center With Exodus Recovery
On September 4, 2014, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) and non-profit Exodus Recovery opened a new mental health urgent care center (UCC) at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Medical Center. It is the county’s fifth such UCC. The department's contract with Exodus Recovery began on November 26, 2013. The initial contract term, valued at $3.1 million, ran through June 30, 2014, followed by three automatic one-year extension periods, each valued at about $6.8 million.
