California Draft Medicaid Home & Community-Based Services Statewide Transition Plan

On September 19, 2014, the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) released a draft Statewide Transition Plan (STP) for its Medicaid home- and community-based service (HCBS) waivers. Public comments will be accepted through October 19. The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires states to develop an STP within 120 days of submission of any waiver amendment or renewal. DHCS submitted a renewal for its Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP) on August 22, 2014. All 1915(i) and 1915(c) waivers must be in full compliance with the new federal rules by March 16, 2019. California . . .
