Michigan Medicaid Preparing To Select Winning Proposals For Child/Maternal Health Pay-For-Success Contracts
The Michigan Department of Community Health (DCH) is preparing to launch pay-for-success (PFS) contracts in 2015 for projects to improve birth, health, and other outcomes of mothers and infants enrolled in Michigan Medicaid. On October 9, 2014, the state began evaluating proposals submitted in response to a request for proposals (RFP) seeking PFS initiatives focused on improving health and early childhood development for high-risk mothers and their babies, through home visitation community programs, and better coordination of care through pregnancy and the child’s second birthday.
