Massachusetts Medicaid Reports 18% Enrollment & 26% Opt Out Rate In Dual Demonstration Project

On September 15, 2014, the Massachusetts Medicaid program, MassHealth, reported an 18.3% enrollment rate and a 26.5% opt out rate in the state’s One Care demonstration project for people eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. Of the 95,352 dual eligibles in the nine counties participating in the One Care demonstration, 17,465 are enrolled in a One Care plan. Another 25,840 have opted out of the demonstration.
