CMS Extends Meaningful Use Attestation & Quality Reporting Deadlines Until December 31, 2014

On November 24, 2014, the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) extended the deadline for eligible hospitals and eligible professionals to attest to meaningful use of health information technology during 2014 for the Medicare Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program, as well as the deadline for the deadline for eligible hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals (CAH) to electronically submit clinical quality measures for the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) program.
