In States Not Expanding Medicaid, 64% Of Community Health Centers Report Increase In Uninsured Patients In 2014, Compared To 19% In Medicaid Expansion States
In 2014, 64% of community health centers in states not expanding Medicaid reported an increase in the volume of uninsured patients; and nearly 77% of community health centers reported an increase in the total number of patients. In states expanding Medicaid, 19.2% of community health centers in states reported an increase in the number of uninsured patients; about 81% of community health centers reported greater patient volume.
