Dear Colleague Letter On The Individuals With Disabilities Education Act For Students With Disabilities In Correctional Facilities

On December 8, 2014, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Department of Education released this document as part of a package to notify states that they must ensure that school-age youth with disabilities who are incarcerated in correctional facilities are provided with education services, and the education services provided must comply with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
