West Virginia Medicaid Preparing To Reimburse For Behavioral Health Services Provided By Clinical Social Workers

The West Virginia Medicaid program is preparing to reimburse for behavioral health services provided by licensed clinical social workers (LCSW); the target implementation date is mid-2015. A state spokesperson said the reimbursement rates will vary depending on the services the licensed clinical social worker is providing. Generally, the rates will be the same as those paid to psychologists providing the same type of services to Medicaid beneficiaries.
