Fair Labor Standards Act: Extending Protections to Home Care Workers (GAO-15-12)
The Government Accountability Office (GAO) analyzed a Department of Labor rule to require that home care provider organizations pay home care workers at least the federal minimum hourly wage, plus overtime, in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The GAO was asked to assess the potential effects of the home care rule.
