San Diego County Awards $7 Million Veteran Outreach & Education Contract To Mental Health Systems
On September 12, 2014, the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), awarded Mental Health Systems, Inc. (MHS) a multi-year contract valued at $7.3 million to provide peer services for veterans. The initial contract began September 15, 2014, with the county being able to exercise the next optioned year starting July 1, 2015, followed by renewals through June 30, 2021. The contract is valued at about $1 million annually. This contract was a rebid, and MHS was the incumbent.
