Changes To Pennsylvania Long-Term Care Services & Supports Under Consideration
The Pennsylvania Long-Term Care Commission (LTCC) is recommending changes to the state's long-term care services and supports (LTSS) system to improve person-centeredness, efficiency, effectiveness, and fiscal accountability. The LTCC made four broad recommendations calling for new service delivery models, expanded use of technology, and streamlining and standardizing the eligibility and assessment processes.
Currently state residents receive LTSS services through the Medicaid program, the Living Independence for the Elderly (LIFE) program, and home and community based services through state funded programs such as ACT 150 and Options and Family Caregiver Support, which are funded by the lottery . . .
