Recommendations To Improve Ohio Adult Protective Services Include Development Of Common Requirements & Assessment Tools

To improve its Adult Protective Services (APS) system, Ohio should define core minimum requirements for the state and county-level APS systems and create a common assessment tool.   Additional recommendations include  implementing a statewide APS data collection and reporting system, launching a statewide APS hotline system, and providing training to state and county-level APS workers.

These recommendations were reported in the final report of the Ohio Adult Protective Services Funding Workgroup. The workgroup was formed in mid-2014.
