Smoking Cessation Among Users Of Telephone & Web-Based Interventions — Four States, 2011 to –2012

In this report released in January 2015, researchers affiliated with the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) analyzed the effectiveness of three smoking cessation intervention delivery systems. The study used data from 5,393 individuals in four states participating in managed tobacco cessation studies, which follow the American Quitline Consortium Minimum Dataset requirements. The four states were Vermont, Florida, Arizona, and Alabama. The researchers concluded that interventions combining web-based and telephone services resulted in higher quit rates among the participants than single delivery platform interventions . . .
