In September 2013, The Hilltop Institute of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County published an Issue Brief on Community Benefit State Law Profiles. The document provides an overview of The Hilltop Institute’s Hospital Community Benefit Program – an open-access online resource for understanding each state’s community benefit framework, as defined by state law, regulation, and, occasionally, the policies and actions of state executive agencies.
