Between December 2012 and November 2013, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) analyzed the extent to which federal agencies fund potentially duplicative autism research and assessed the extent to which the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC) and federal agencies coordinate and monitor federal autism activities. The analysis included federal agency documents and data and interviews with federal agency officials and select nonfederal IACC members.
