Georgia Child Welfare Reform Council: Final Report To The Governor
The report was released January 8, 2015. The 35 recommendations of the Georgia Child Welfare Reform Council focus on three areas: laws and regulations (8), personnel issues (11), and policies and procedures (16) to improve children’s outcomes. The recommendations focus on changes to child welfare policy and procedures to streamline and standardize processes, improve working conditions for caseworkers, encourage implementation of evidence-based best practices and mobile technology for caseworkers in the field, strengthen use of predictive analytics to improve Child Protective Services decision making, and improve accountability.
