NCQA Proposes New Medicaid Behavioral Health HEDIS Quality Measure For 2016
The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is considering adding a new Medicaid behavioral health measure to its Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) for 2016. The proposed new measure would require Medicaid managed care plans to report on the percentage of diabetes screenings provided for members with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder who are using an antipsychotic medication. NCQA accepted public comment on the proposed measure through December 11, 2014. After reviewing the public comments, during the spring, any new measures for the coming year will be finalized.
Medicaid MCOs already report on a group of behavioral health measures . . .
