EHR Use Highest Among Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, Psychiatrist EHR Use Lags
Physician practice usage of electronic health records (EHRs) varies by specialty, with the highest EHR use among internal medicine specialists and pediatricians and the lowest use among psychiatrists. According to a survey conducted in January 2015 of United States physicians, among internal medicine specialists and pediatricians 76% were using EHRs and 24% were not. Among psychiatrists, 40% were using EHRs and 60% were not.
