Nevada Still Working on State Plan to Provide Medicaid Therapeutic Foster Care
OPEN MINDS On-Line News On December 12, 2007, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) verbally gave the Nevada Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and the Nevada Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) six more months to develop a Medicaid plan to provide Medicaid-funded therapeutic foster care services. DHCFP and DCFS have until June 30, 2008, to develop a plan that meets the requirements of the 2005 Deficit Reduction Act (DRA).
