CMS Delays Implementation of Medicaid Premium & Cost Sharing Rule Until March 2009

OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News On January 23, 2009, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) delayed implementation of the final rule entitled “Medicaid Program; Premiums and Cost Sharing” until March 27, 2009. The delay was ordered January 20, 2009, by President Barack Obama to give Department officials the opportunity for further review and consideration of new regulations.
