Pennsylvania ‘Money Follows the Person’ Demonstration on a Roll

OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Disability Support Since July 1, 2009, Pennsylvania’s Money Follows the Person (MFP) grant has enrolled 72 participants. The grant is used by the Offices of Long-Term Living (OLTL), Developmental Programs (ODP), Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS), and the Department of Aging to transition individuals from nursing facilities or other institutional settings to their homes or to home-like community settings. Since the implementation went live in July 2008, the state has used the MFP grant as follows: OLTL has transitioned 376 people over the age of 60 and 48 younger people . . .
