Walgreen Creates Health-Care Division to Buy I-trax & Whole Health Management
OPEN MINDS On-Line News Strategic Health Care News On March 17, 2008, Walgreen Company announced plans to acquire I-trax Inc., parent of CHD Meridian Healthcare, and privately-held Whole Health Management as part of its creation of a Health and Wellness Division. The new division will manage health centers and pharmacies at large-company worksites and continue the rollout of its drugstore-clinic business. The I-trax deal is estimated at $259.7 million.
