OPEN MINDS On-Line News Strategic Health Care News Wal-Mart Stores said on January 22, 2008, that 50.2% of its associates were enrolled in its Associates Medical Plan; and overall, 92.7% of associates are covered by an insurance plan through a spouse or other family member or by a state or federal program. More than 1.1 million Wal-Mart employees and dependents are covered by the Associates Medical Plan.
