CMS Cuts 2010 Payments for Medicare Advantage Plans
OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News On April 6, 2009, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the Part C and D payment policies and methods CMS will use to calculate 2010 capitation payment rates for Medicare Advantage (MA) plans. The Medicare growth rate, a key factor used to determine 2010 payments for Medicare Advantage plans, will be only 0.81% higher than the growth rate applied for 2009.
