UnitedHealthcare Adds Veterans Affairs Services to Provider Network

OPEN MINDS On-Line News Strategic Health Care News On May 8, 2008, UnitedHealthcare announced an agreement with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to give commercial health plan members who are military veterans in-network coverage of VA health care. The agreement includes all VA hospitals and outpatient clinics. Mental health, substance abuse services, and transplant services are also included. The agreement will enable veterans with commercial health insurance to coordinate financially and clinically within a single, robust network.
