West Virginia Picks APS as Medicaid Vendor in $7.2 Million Contract

OPEN MINDS On-Line News The West Virginia Department of Human Resources has selected APS (formerly known as American Psych Systems) as the State’s administrative vendor for utilization review, provider training, and quality improvement activities for behavioral health services under the state’s Medical Assistance program. The 3-year contract, which is expected to begin August 1, 2000 is worth approximately $7.2 million, and is part of a movement by the state toward a system of capitation.
