Insurance Plans Preparing for Health Care Reform Provisions Effective In September

OPEN MINDS Weekly News Wire Strategic Health Care News On September 23, 2010, a variety of provisions mandated by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) for new insurance plans are scheduled to go live. The changes include: Permitting children under 26 to be added to or remain on their parentÂ’s family policy. Restricting health plans from imposing higher cost sharing for out-of-network emergency services, and end lifetime coverage maximums.
