DOD Health IT Limited in Ability to Track Mental Health Referrals

OPEN MINDS On-Line News Strategic Health Care News Two Department of Defense (DOD) health information technology (IT) systems — the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) — have limited tracking capabilities for post-deployment mental health referrals. DOD is in the process of expanding the use of AHLTA to replace the older CHCS system.
